Welders Responsibilities:
* Perform 135 MAG semi-automatic welding in compliance with BS EN 287 standards, along with MIG welding techniques
* Conduct welding on aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel components ranging from 2mm to 25mm in thickness, including corrosion repairs on train body shells
* Prepare materials for welding through the use of various hand tools, including grinding and buffing equipment
* Complete precision welds based on specific technical drawings, including fabrication of brackets, structural beams, joints, and sole bars
* Contribute to infrastructure development and construction across dedicated project assignments
* Qualify in CSWIP welding inspection, ensuring weld quality and adherence to specifications
* Collaborate within a team environment, ensuring all required documentation and procedural instructions were accurately followed and completed
* Actively support and upheld the company’s values by fostering positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners
* Adhere strictly to internal policies and procedures as outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook
Welders Requirements:
* Ideally come from an engineering / commercial environment
* Must be time served with the relevant qualifications from accredited bodies.
* Good attention to detail – able to identify issues and find ways to rectify them
