Purpose of the Role
The Legal Project Coordinator (LPC) role is part of the Legal Project Management (LPM) team in AG's innovative alternative delivery function 'Law, Plus More'. The LPC role works with the Head of LPM and the wider LPM team to provide management support to significant client matters and to key internal initiatives.
This role provides support to significant client projects with the aim to improve profitability, improve the quality of service delivery, and adopt best practice project management approaches and tools. Significant client projects can be across the spectrum of AG's client services but would typically be large in size and volume, across multiple locations, and involve large Addleshaw Goddard fee earner and client teams.
The Team
The Legal Project Management Team are a group of specialist Legal Project Managers that provide legal project management support to large and complex client projects. The LPM team is growing steadily, and team members have opportunities to develop their roles, capabilities and advance their careers. LPM team members have backgrounds as project managers in other industries, paralegals, management consultants and business services roles.
What to Expect in This Role
• Assist delivery teams with budget control and profitability.
• Monitor budgets through creation, update, and analysis of financial reports from AG's systems.
• Coordinate with Finance teams for accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage client status reports in Excel or PowerPoint.
• Coordinate and contribute to planning documents.
• Support the development of communication and presentation materials.
• Develop processes and document best practices.
• Set up and support client collaboration sites, including content and data management.
• Develop and maintain project or client-specific collaboration sites (HighQ, MS Teams, SharePoint).
• Update internal sites for the Firm and LPM team.
• Document and maintain LPM case studies and metrics.
• Support coordination of LPM calls and meetings, and disseminate materials.
• Contribute to the development of LPM assets and promote the LPM team.
Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
The LPC role would suit a naturally organised individual, an excellent team player, who works in a well-structured way, has a good attention to detail, enjoys working to high quality standards, is proactive and takes initiative.
• Requires 2+ years of relevant experience and exceptional administrative skills.
• Strong technical proficiency, especially with SharePoint, HighQ, and advanced MS Office.
• Capable of managing and analysing imperfect financial data sets.
• Previous experience in the professional services sector is preferred.
• Demonstrates a highly motivated, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to build strong relationships based on empathy and trust, with excellent teamwork skills.
• Possesses high-level organizational skills, attention to detail, resilience, and flexibility.
• Excellent time management, alongside superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly numerate with specific competency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Desirable qualifications include a relevant undergraduate degree, project management certification, legal technical skills, and specialized project management expertise.
