We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative activities co-ordinator to work as part of a friendly and welcoming team at Stratford Bentley Care Centre. We strive to provide a wide range of activities tailored to our residents preferences.
As an activities co-ordinator some of your responsibilities will be:
· Doing a morning and afternoon activity session. This could be baking, arts and crafts, board games, exercises and visitors from the local community.
· Supporting and encouraging residents to take part in activities of their choice.
· Working alongside our other activities co-ordinator to produce weekly activities schedules.
· Liaising with external companies and performers to organise entertainment within the home.
· Supporting residents with lunches, snacks and drinks.
· Organising one to one activities for our residents who prefer not to join in group activities
· Recording activities sessions on our care planning system.
Previous experience of working with the elderly and organising activities is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. Working hours will be around 25 hours per week and will include working alternate weekends and some bank holidays. All bank holidays are paid at double time. Rates of pay will be discussed during interview.
