Overview
Join to apply for the Community Sister / Charge Nurse role at Lehrman Cameron Studio, LLC. This is a permanent position based in Haverfordwest, supporting the Team Leader with professional and clinical leadership to the Community Nursing Team. Post registration development and experience are essential; SPQ is not required for this post.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and day-to-day shift co-ordination within the Community Nursing Team and deputise in the absence of the District Nurse Team Leader.
* Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care without supervision, ensuring high standards of care for patients and their families/carers in home or clinic settings.
* Delegate and supervise the delivery of care in line with NHS Wales delegation framework.
* Ensure holistic care addressing physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
* Be accessible to the nursing and multi-disciplinary team, patients and service users within primary and secondary care.
* Support and work with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and deputise when required.
* Handle complex clinical and managerial situations, critically analyse risks, seek appropriate help and make patient-risk-related decisions.
* Seek appropriate advice and alert agencies for concerns regarding potential/actual risk to patients or dependents (e.g., safeguarding, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty).
* Travel between sites as needed to fulfil duties.
Qualifications and requirements
* Nurse with leadership experience in an acute or community setting.
* SPQ not required for this post; post-registration development and experience are essential.
* Willingness to travel between sites and work a 5-day week over a 7-day period, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Welsh language consideration: ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome. The Health Board supports Welsh language learning options if not already proficient.
