A Little More About Your Role
Are you ready for the next step in your career? Are you eager to develop and help deliver and grow our portfolio of high‑profile projects solving groundwater challenges in the water resources, environmental and infrastructure sectors? We are seeking to appoint mid‑career hydrogeologists/modellers to support projects undertaken by the Catchment Science team within our Sustainable Water Management Consulting group. Your work will be varied and challenging, likely including the following:

What You Will Be Doing
* Technical delivery of hydrogeology and water resources projects, with emphasis on regional groundwater modelling.
* Manage projects including financial oversight, change control and quality assurance.
* Mentor, supervise and develop junior team members.
* Work with the Hydrogeology and Groundwater Services Lead to define scopes and approaches.
* Produce high‑quality client and public‑facing deliverables that communicate complex data clearly.
* Contribute to bid proposals and help develop innovative solutions for clients.
* Work collaboratively with other sectors and disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
* Promote a safety‑first culture in line with WSP policies.
Your Team
The Catchment Science team covers water resources and security, hydrology and hydraulics, water quality, hydroecology and hydrogeology. We provide high‑quality technical services and advice to a wide range of high‑profile customers in the UK and overseas, including government departments, the water industry and industrial sectors such as power, transport, nuclear, mining, commercial and oil and gas.

Qualifications
* MSc in Hydrogeology combined with a BSc degree in a related discipline (e.g., geology, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, environmental science).
* Chartership with a relevant professional body or working towards chartership.
What We Will Be Looking For
* Groundwater and water resources modelling to support water resource estimation and management, as well as environmental impact assessment.
* Strong understanding of UK hydrogeology and the environmental and regulatory framework of UK water management.
* Strong project management skills, with experience of managing projects from start to finish.
* Understanding of client needs, opportunities and challenges, with a track record of leading and winning work.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the potential to engage and influence at all levels.
* Strong commercial awareness, with experience of identifying and developing business opportunities and preparing winning proposals.
* Excellent report‑writing, technical review, numerical and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for solving challenging hydrogeological/hydrological problems.
