Are you a dedicated and passionate Social Worker looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team.
The Role
As a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team, you will be responsible for:
* Working collaboratively with the Team Manager to ensure the effective delivery of social care services
* Conducting assessments and providing support to safeguard children and support families
* Implementing intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes
* Working in partnership with other professionals and agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
* Maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and progress
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
* Experience working in a similar role, ideally within a children’s services setting
* Sound knowledge of social work principles, legislation, and safeguarding practices
* Excellent assessment, intervention, and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
* Professional, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children and families
