Role Overview
The Anaplan Solution Architect is responsible for defining and delivering the strategic architecture and model design for Aztec’s Anaplan platform. You will lead the design and governance of complex fund-modelling solutions including waterfalls, carried interest, and portfolio forecasting models. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, scalability, and standardisation across Aztec’s modelling landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Configuration & Support
1. Lead the design of multi-jurisdictional Anaplan models, ensuring performance, reusability, and governance
2. Define modelling standards, calculation frameworks, and design conventions
3. Own and manage the Anaplan ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) process across dev, test, and production
4. Translate business logic into efficient model architecture aligned with the Waterfall CoE
Integration & Data Strategy
5. Architect integrations between Anaplan, eFront, Databricks, and Workiva, ensuring consistent data lineage
6. Define data schemas, mapping frameworks, and reconciliation processes
7. Collaborate with the Data Platform and Integration teams to optimise pipelines and ensure auditability
Leadership & Governance
8. Mentor model builders and support specialists, driving best practices and knowledge sharing
9. Act as the primary platform liaison between business sponsors and technology delivery
10. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring roadmap alignment and SLA compliance
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
11. 6+ years’ experience designing and managing Anaplan or comparable modelling solutions
12. Deep understanding of private-markets fund structures and carried-interest logic
13. Expertise in model optimisation, performance tuning, and governance
14. Strong collaboration, leadership, and documentation skills
Desirable:
15. Master Anaplanner or Solution Architect certification
16. Experience with Azure Data Factory, MuleSoft, or other integration tools
17. Familiarity with downstream reporting platforms such as Workiva or Power BI
Qualifications & Experience
18. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field
19. 6+ years in technology or modelling roles within financial services or fund administration
