JOB PURPOSE
We're looking for an experienced Project Officer who will play a key role in delivering property and capital projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for making sure that all activities across a project are planned, co-ordinated, and delivered within budget, and to agreed quality standards. effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and deliver projects by co-ordinating tasks, schedules, resource and information
* Track project progress against plans, highlight risks or delays and prepare regular process reports for the Project and Property director and stakeholders.
* Act as a point of contact for internal teams, external partner, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
* Assist with project budget monitoring, process invoices and purchase orders, and maintain accurate financial records in line with the organisation procedures.
* Maintain accurate project files and records ensuring that project documentation meetings audit and compliance requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience in working in a similar role with the relevant sector (e.g. local authority, construction, housing, private sector)
* Experience of using standard office IT Systems (e.g. Word, email, Excel, project tracking tools)
* Understanding of project management principles and processes.
* Knowledge of administrative procedures and record keeping.
* Experience of supporting the delivery of project programmes within a team environment.
* Experience of coordinating multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
* Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Awareness of Health & Safely, equality and diversity and data protection relevant to project work.
* Understanding of risk management and quality assurance in project delivery.
