An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of B5 Occupational Therapist in the adult eating disorders intensive day service. The service is based at Imperial Avenue in Norton. The service is open between 8am and 6pm Monday - Friday and shift patters are 8am- 4pm or 10am - 6pm, however the opening times are going to be reviewed. Your role will also involve supporting people in their own homes.
The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality patient focused care in a community setting.
The role will involve improving the lives of people with Anorexia Nervosa and the impact of their condition through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and wellbeing.
You will manage a caseload independently, assessing occupational performance and delivering specialist occupational interventions, demonstrating adherence to the Trust Values at all times., Occupationally focused assessments and interventions will be delivered as part of a dynamic service delivery model that has a strong commitment to collaborative working at its core whilst recognising the unique skills of all professional groups represented in the team.Additional focus is on delivering high quality evidence based services that support recovery, occupational formulation and occupational engagement. The delivery occupational therapy 1:1 and in groups is required.To be responsible for receiving requests for occupational therapy, triaging and prioritising these, completing evidence-based assessments and interventions to address key occupational areas of self care, productivity and leisure.To use client-centred approaches to co-producing negotiated occupational goals and evaluate these with service users collaboratively.To participate in clinical/professional and management supervisionTo contribute to multi-disciplinary team workingTo contribute to service improvement and
quality initiativesTo use the Trust electronic patient record systemTo abide by all Trust policies and proceduresTo be able to respond flexibly and creatively to challenges
