Training Analyst Designer
The role
As a Training Analyst Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how people learn and perform across complex engineering and defence programmes. You’ll analyse operational requirements and translate them into structured, high‑quality learning solutions that ensure teams have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver critical work safely and effectively.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll contribute to national infrastructure and defence capability while developing your expertise in training analysis, instructional design, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work alongside subject matter experts and project teams, helping to create learning solutions that directly impact performance, safety, and operational success.
* Conducting structured training analysis to define performance requirements and standards
* Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather and evaluate evidence
* Designing learning solutions aligned to analysis outputs and programme needs
* Ensuring all training products are traceable, validated, and compliant
* Supporting governance reviews and maintaining accurate documentation
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential Experience
* Experience in training analysis or instructional design using structured methodologies
* Ability to translate operational requirements into measurable learning outcomes
* Strong communication skills for working with technical specialists and stakeholders
* High attention to detail and ability to produce quality documentation
* Ability to work collaboratively while managing individual deliverables
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline such as learning and development, education, or instructional design
* Additional qualifications or experience in training design, education, or a technical discipline are desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
