A Mechanical Contracts manager with estimating experience is required to join an established M&E Contractor based in Lancashire, with a varied portfolio of projects covering commercial, industrial, education and healthcare. As a Mechanical Contracts manager, it will be your responsibility procure, manage and handover Mechanical projects ranging from 10k - 600k. Representing the company on many fronts it will be essential that our client's expectations are met, you will have experience in delivering projects to the required specifications, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
* Client enquiries - organise & complete required surveys
* Prepare mechanical estimates, tenders and quotations
* Managing projects across various sites
* Client meetings
* Assisting with the design process and overseeing D & B projects
* Organising labour and placing sub-contract orders
* Produce monthly reports on projects/procurement to the directors
* Assist in finalising accounts
* Business Development - maintaining relationships with current clients and bringing on board new clients.
* Sourcing and ordering of materials
* Compiling O&M Manuals
* Produce H&S Documentation
Qualifications
* Ideally you will be familiar working for a small M&E contractor
* Ability to communicate well with clients/customers/colleagues and have a professional manner when representing the company.
* Track record of delivering projects on time and in budget
* Experience in estimating
* It confident (proficient in all office products inc excel)
* Experience of Managing teams
* Knowledge of all mechanical systems - commercial and industrial plumbing & heating, natural gas
* Knowledge of building legislation, gas Regulations, Water Regulations and health & Safety
* Any design experience would be very advantageous although not essential
