We're looking for a Primary SEN Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil in a friendly primary school in Sheffield S20. This full-time role begins ASAP and runs through to July, with a strong chance of continuing in September.
Your responsibilities:
* Support daily learning with adaptive strategies and encouragement
* Foster emotional confidence through consistent 1:1 interaction
* Liaise regularly with teachers, SENCO, and parents
* Promote social interaction and communication development
* Assist in behaviour management strategies sensitively and effectively
* Maintain a calm and positive classroom presence
You'll need:
* Proven experience with SEND in a primary classroom
* Understanding of speech & language or ASD/ADHD needs is beneficial
* Strong written and verbal communication
* DBS on the update service
