DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP IN MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING WITH MECHANICAL DESIGN
Role objective and scope
What is the objective of this role and what does it consist of? ITP Aero UK are recruiting for a number of Manufacturing Engineering with Mechanical Design Degree Apprentices to work within our engineering department at our site in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, to support the future development of our business.
As an apprentice Design and Manufacturing Engineer you will gain a wealth of experience obtained through a number of Design and Manufacturing placements in ITP Aero UK. You will spend time in Design, Stress, Manufacturing, Metrology and Laboratory teams, working closely with our skilled Engineers to develop your knowledge, skills and experience to design and manufacture world-class aerospace components. ITP Aero UK has partnered with the University of Derby to deliver these leading apprenticeships. These roles will start in September 2026. Apprentices will be based at ITP Aero UK in Hucknall and will also attend the University of Derby on day release. On completion of your degree apprenticeship, you will have achieved a BEng(Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering with Mechanical Design, together with an award from IFaTE for the Degree Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering. You will also be eligible to apply for a role within our Engineering department at ITP Aero UK.
What profile are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, who are eager to learn, are excellent communicators and can demonstrate their ability to work well within a team. We are also looking for the following:
* Two A Levels obtained or predicted at grade C or above in:
* Maths and another science or Engineering related subject
* Or 96+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at Level 3
* Or a Merit in an Engineering T Level
* Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English, or the equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills.
Team and collaboration
You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.

Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours 08:00-16:12

You will also be required to attend Derby University on day release one day per week.
Remuneration and benefits
Remuneration
Stage 1 - Starting Salary = £21,500 per annum pro-rata
Stage 2 – After 1 year on programme (subject to being on target with course) = £23,650 per annum pro-rata
Stage 3 – After 2 years on programme (subject to being on target with course) = £26,015 per annum pro-rata
Stage 4 – After 3 years on programme (subject to being on target with course) = £28,617 per annum pro-rata
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be eligible to apply for a role within ITP Aero UK, with a competitive starting salary of £40,000.
