Position Title: Press Brake Operator
Location: Paneltex Ltd, Unit 35B, Foster Street, Hull, HU8 8BT, United Kingdom
Reporting to: Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 13:30
Salary: From £15.50 per hour

Job Overview
Operation of the Press-Brake, making sure all programmes are completed correctly and any issues recorded, coordinating activities with the Laser Operator/Labourer, to undertake material storage/usage and address equipment maintenance in order to ensure customer jobs are completed on time and all activities are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Calculate blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed.
* Undertake '1st offs' to prove parts before rate manufacture & sample parts during the process to ensure dimensions and tolerances of finished products are accurate.
* Liaison with the design team where job packs are not clear.
* Use of registered/calibrated measuring equipment.
* Make sure all Bending Jobs are completed to schedule, highlight any opportunities within the schedule.
* Ensure that all completed jobs have been checked/inspected and that they are clearly marked/identified with the required paperwork.
* Check all information is ready in line with the schedule.
* Follow procedures for traceability, storage and control of materials, components and waste.
* Proactively manage and maximise quality outputs across all jobs.
* Support the deployment of Lean Manufacturing/5S methods into the production areas.
* Maintain and clean the press brake and supporting equipment.
* Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
* Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Production experience within a Sheet Metal Fabrication environment
* Read technical drawings.
* Press Brake Operation experience preferred
* Hold a current Fork Truck Licence (desirable)
* Basic knowledge of different metals
* Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety.
* Excellent work ethic and team player.
* Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
* Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
