Field Service Engineer?? Location: (covering Southcoast / Portsmouth)?? Salary: up to £41,000 base + overtime (OTE £50,000–£58,000) + company van & fuel card?? Sector: Mechanical Engineering / Process EquipmentJoin a globally recognised engineering leader specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke process equipment for a variety of industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, dairy, food, beverage, oil & gas and many more. Due to continued growth and a strong order pipeline into next year, we are looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support our customer base across the South Coast.Key Responsibilities:We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Field Service Engineer to join our client’s growing team. This UK field-based role will involve regular travel across the Southcoast /Portsmouth area, with overnight stays and substantial travel required.
* Carry out maintenance, service, and repair work on SFT separation equipment at customer sites, as assigned by the office.
* Ensure timely and efficient completion of all site service tasks, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
* Prepare thoroughly for all site visits by ensuring all necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available and in good working condition.
* Use correct working methods and ensure all special tooling is safe, clean, and operational.
* Clearly communicate with customers, particularly when issues arise that may affect costs, performance, or the operational life of their equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
* Mechanical engineering background (apprenticeship or relevant qualification)
* Previous experience as a Service Engineer in a related sector
* Background in technical or process engineering is beneficial
* Ability to work independently and travel regularly
