We’re now looking for a news reporter to join our award-winning team.
️ The Role
We’re seeking an ambitious news journalist who's passionate about public policy and/or education, and has a portfolio of hard-hitting scoops.
* A regional journalist with a strong track record looking to step up to a national patch
* A general reporter ready to specialise and produce agenda-setting investigations
In this role, you’ll:
* Deliver exclusives across regional and national beats
* Hone contacts, scrutinise data, and ask probing questions
* Work towards appearing in wider media to discuss key education stories
* Write news stories, long-reads, and investigations
* (Note: this role is not suited to candidates looking to focus on features.)
? What You’ll Need
* An NCTJ qualification or equivalent, ideally with 100wpm shorthand
* The personal skills needed to build and maintain high-level contacts
