The Rotherham CAMHS Service have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 CAMHS CBT therapist to join our Getting Help Pathway Team. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team completing assessments and providing evidence-based interventions, advice and support to professionals, parents and young people.

The role holder will work clinically, offering Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy within specialist CAMHS teams for children and young people (C&YP) and their families. The role holder will also provide clinical leadership and supervision to mental health roles across CAMHS, working in a collaborative and multi‑agency way.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This is an excellent opportunity to work as an autonomous clinician within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based psychological care to children, young people and their families.

You will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, case management and CBT interventions for children and young people with a range of complex emotional and psychological needs. Using recognised CBT frameworks, you will develop and deliver personalised treatment plans, adapting interventions in line with clinical presentation and risk.

You will work closely with internal and external partners, adhering to local and multi‑agency policies and procedures, and contributing to service transformation projects. The role requires confidence in evaluating clinical outcomes and using feedback from young people, carers and staff to inform ongoing development.

You will promote a positive, reflective culture of risk management and change, working collaboratively with senior clinical and medical colleagues.

If you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people, we would welcome your application.

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if there are a high amount of applications.
