About The Job
The Registered Nurse:
* Provides nursing care to emergency patients, working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
* Enhances quality of life for patients and families; collaborates with healthcare providers
* Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
* Maintains and advances own clinical competence
* Participates in hospital committees, teams, and research projects as assigned
This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours and can work from 0 to 37.5 hours per week as needed.
Shifts include days, evenings, and nights, scheduled on a rotating basis from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, and 10:00 to 22:00 hours.

Kootenay Lake Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital offering surgical, inpatient, and emergency services. Located in Nelson, a small rural city on the shores of Kootenay Lake, it features 36 beds and an operating room. The emergency department sees approximately 12,000 visits annually.
