You should be proactive, managing your own tasks confidently while collaborating and communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and Partners to serve clients effectively. You'll be encouraged to identify opportunities for enhancing our delivery and offering additional services.
Role Overview
This role involves providing Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of corporate and owner-managed clients. You will manage a portfolio of clients, assist Directors/Partners in client work and practice management, and participate in special assignments. Actively seeking new business opportunities and keeping Partners informed is a key part of your role.
Responsibilities
* Act as a key contact for clients, responding proactively to their needs and maintaining regular contact.
* Take full responsibility for project delivery within your portfolio.
* Manage client portfolios, including billing and cash collection.
* Review work prepared by junior staff.
* Liaise with HMRC.
* Ensure assignments are completed within budgets, keeping clients and Partners informed of any overruns.
* Adhere to quality control procedures, including second partner reviews.
* Identify risks, technical issues, and selling opportunities, exercising judgment within set parameters.
Requirements
* Degree educated and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
* Ability to guide and supervise less experienced colleagues.
* Support, train, mentor, and advise others.
* Drive improvements and champion change.
* Take personal responsibility for decisions and actions.
* Lead projects of limited scale or complexity.
