Our client is an established company based in the Stone area, they are seeking a Management Accountant to join their friendly team. Working in an open plan office, this role will be working in the Accounts team and will be providing financial information to the Directors. Duties for the Management Accountant will include:
1. Supervision of the Accounts Assistant
2. Preparation of monthly management accounts
3. Accurately processing the monthly payroll
4. Overseeing bank reconciliations for GBP and EU accounts
5. Overseeing management of account receivables and accounts payables
6. Monitoring cash flow
7. Authorisation of bank payments
8. Checking payment runs, credit card statements and expenses prepared by the accounts assistant.
9. Liaising with and providing information to the auditors on an annual basis
10. Overseeing credit control and managing bad debts
11. Maintaining and managing credit limits often liaising and negotiating with customers, credit insurers and sales managers
12. Prepare information for VAT reporting
13. Liaise with customers by email and telephone
Candidate requirements for the Management Accountant are:
14. Minimum AAT Level 4 Qualified
15. Ideally CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
16. Must have experience in management accounting
17. Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts is desirable
18. Ideally previous supervisory skills
19. Strong attention to detail
20. Strong analytical abilities
21. Effective communication and people skills
22. Problem solving abilities
23. Ability to meet deadlines
Hours: Monday – Friday 35 hours finish at 1:00 pm Fridays
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 Per Annum
