Nanny-PA Opportunity with a Warm, Welcoming Family in Cornwall
A kind and well-organised family is seeking a Nanny-PA to join their supportive household team. This is a rewarding role that blends childcare with light personal assistance, offering flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in daily life.
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Hours: 08:30–16:30
- Days: Choose 2 to 4 days between Monday and Thursday
- The family currently employs two Nanny-PAs; one is moving on after 2.5 years, and the Friday nanny remains in post.
About the Family
Mum sustained a head injury several years ago and experiences regular fatigue. She does not require personal care, but benefits from practical support with household tasks, errands, and transport. The role also involves caring for her cheerful and active 9-year-old son, making childcare experience essential. Mum also has another 2 children at home, age 22 and 21.
Key Responsibilities
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Accompanying mum to appointments and assisting with food shopping
- Engaging with her son after school—playing games, outings, and creative activities
- Light household duties: vacuuming, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining simple routines
What We’re Looking For
- A confident driver (you’ll be insured on the family’s automatic Audi Q5)
- Able to obtain a clean DBS (Tinies will support this process)
- A calm, grounded presence with positive energy
- Willing to take annual leave during school holidays
- Someone who understands the role is to enable and support, not to take over
- A genuine desire to build a long-term relationship with the family
Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)
- A childcare qualification
- Flexibility to cover occasional absences of other nannies
Other Notes
- The family has a friendly cat
- There is a possibility of relocating from Goonhavern to Truro in the future
