Job responsibilities
The post-holder will oversee the management, coordination and facilitation of complex research studies in Mental Health and Dementia, including clinical and administrative tasks such as venepuncture, sample processing, document generation and control, project tracking and logistics, data collection and reporting. They must ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Research Governance and support the continued improvement in participant care and research data quality.
Person Specification
Qualification
* Degree/Diploma in Psychology, Health Science, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or other relevant subject
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* GCP training and knowledge
* Higher degree or formal study of research design/methodology in a clinical or social care setting
* Clinical Research Practitioner registration via ACHS
Experience
* Significant experience in clinical research delivery
* Experience managing complex research projects
* Clinical research delivery experience in Mental Health & Dementia studies
Skills / Knowledge / Ability
* Clinical experience in ECGs, physical exams, sample processing, IV & medication management
* Ability to deal with complex and sensitive situations
* Knowledge of research protocols and research processes
* Awareness of clinical governance and risk management
* Ability to lead, teach, supervise and mentor others in clinical research delivery
* Clinical training and experience in phlebotomy
* Proficiency with basic laboratory skills
* Experience with intravenous (IV) therapy
