We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Platform Lead to own and manage an OpenShift-based virtualization platform delivering enterprise VM hosting services.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role with responsibility for the full platform life cycle, including architecture, BAU operations, patching, upgrades, incident response, platform stability, and VM migration from Legacy infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
* Own the technical strategy and roadmap for the OpenShift Virtualization platform
* Lead platform life cycle management, including installation, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning
* Drive platform stability, performance optimisation, governance, compliance, and security
* Lead major incident response, RCA, and change/release activity
* Deliver IaC and GitOps practices for platform management
* Lead VM migration from Legacy/VMware platforms to OpenShift Virtualization
Essential skills and experience
* 8-12 years of IT infrastructure experience
* 5+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (4.x)
* 3+ years of OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) or similar VM hosting platform experience
* 3+ years in platform/infrastructure leadership
* 2+ years with RHEL and Red Hat CoreOS (RHCOS)
* Expert OpenShift administration
* Strong Linux, storage, networking, and automation skills
* Experience with platform upgrades, patching, incidents, RCA, change management, capacity planning, and performance tuning
* Experience with Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform, GitOps, Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager
* RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, or equivalent demonstrable experience

* RHCA
* OpenShift Virtualization certification
* RHACM, RHACS/Stackrox
* ArgoCD/Flux/Tekton
* Chaos engineering
* Multi-infrastructure OpenShift experience
* CKA/CKS
* Hybrid/multi-cloud and backup tooling experience
