Brakes has an opportunity for a Supply Planner to join the Product Supply team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is based at our Ashford office and reports to the Supply Manager. You will manage stock and availability for specific food categories (SKUs) to meet company targets, working closely with internal teams to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Our role offers hybrid working with 3 days a week in the Ashford office, which has good transport links and free parking. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, 8am – 5pm, including bank holidays, with Sunday cover on a rota (usually 1 in 4). Bank holiday work is compensated with time in lieu. The salary is £27,982 plus a 10% bonus annually.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process purchase orders using ERP platforms.
2. Maintain stock levels and service standards.
3. Develop and maintain relationships internally and externally.
4. Report on issues affecting KPIs and supplier performance.
5. Develop solutions for SKU group issues.
6. Evaluate reports and take necessary actions.
7. Achieve KPIs related to product availability and waste reduction.
8. Collaborate with external suppliers and attend supply meetings.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Supply Planner role or a background in FMCG, retail, or commercial sectors. You should be confident, people-oriented, and thrive under pressure. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with a good understanding of SAP systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are crucial.
