Mechanical Design Engineer East Kilbride, Full-Time Permanent Salaried role – Excellent Basic plus Bens package
Our client is currently recruiting for Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering and R&D environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong CAD capability and a passion for product development and manufacturing excellence.
Produce detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs
Participate in First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
Collaborate across engineering and production teams
HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering or minimum CADD qualification
~ Strong IT and technical software skills
~ Demonstrable CAD experience including:
~3D CAD (Inventor preferred, alternatives considered)
~2D CAD (AutoCAD/Draftsight)
RSS study knowledge - statistical tolerance analysis
~3D printing and CNC experience
~ Ansys Mechanical experience - a finite element analysis (FEA) software
It would also be useful if you have knowledge of Revision control, Design for Manufacture (DFM), GD&T principles (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) along with practical hands-on engineering experience and excellent communication and presentation skills
