Job Description
A leading global organisation is seeking a highly motivated and technically strong UK VAT Manager to join its finance team. This newly created role reflects the organisation’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening its UK tax capability.
As UK VAT Manager, you will take ownership of indirect and direct tax matters across the business, providing VAT advice on complex contracting and cross-border scenarios, while managing compliance for VAT, CIS, and UK corporation tax.
Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic VAT and indirect tax advice, particularly around cross-border and complex contracting arrangements
\t
* Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver actionable tax insights
\t
* Oversee accurate and timely preparation of VAT and UK corporation tax returns
\t
* Monitor legislative changes and manage relationships with HMRC
\t
* Identify process improvements and help embed tax compliance into broader finance operations
\t
* Collaborate with advisors and internal teams to mitigate tax risks
\t
* Deliver training and tax guidance across the organisation
About You:
\t
* Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ACCA) or with equivalent experience
\t
* Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT and indirect taxes (CIS experience desirable)
\t
* Proven track record in an in-house or advisory tax role
\t
* Skilled in explaining complex tax issues to non-specialists
\t
* Proficient in ERP systems such as Dynamics, Oracle, or SAP
\t
* Commercially aware, collaborative, and confident engaging at senior level
