Role

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of health and social care professionals? We are seeking a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment that empowers students to achieve their full potential.

As a Health and Social Care lecturer, you'll be based at Hugh Baird College's Healthcare Campus, a state of the art facility designed to simulate real-world healthcare environments.

Teaching experience within a Further Education college across L2 & L3 health and social care is required and T-level is desirable.

This campus is a Centre of Industry Excellence and benefits from strong partnerships with NHS Foundation Trusts and private providers, offering students enriched learning through guest speakers, placements, and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging lessons across a range of Health and Social Care courses.
* Provide constructive feedback and support learner progress.
* Supervise practical activities and work placements.
* Use technology and innovative teaching methods to support independent learning.
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
* Support students' wellbeing and promote a positive learning environment.
* Participate in college events, employer engagement, and open days.



Criteria

* Relevant Level 3 vocational qualification.
* PGCE/Certificate of Education or equivalent.
* Industry-related experience in Health and Social Care.
* Strong knowledge of subject matter and assessment requirements.
* Ability to inspire and motivate learners.
* Competent in using technology for teaching and assessment.
* High expectations of self and others, with a collaborative and innovative mindset.
