The Project Mobilisation Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the mobilisation and demobilisation of vessels for specific projects. This role ensures that all mobilisation activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project specifications. The position requires strong coordination between engineering, logistics, HSE, and project management teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

* Develop detailed mobilisation and demobilisation plans tailored to each project’s requirements.

Asset Readiness and Preparation

* Ensure the asset mobilisation is adequately prepared, certified, and equipped for the project.

Execution and Coordination

* Lead mobilisation activities at the port or project site, supervising staff and contractors.

Safety and Compliance

* Implement safety protocols during mobilisation and ensure adherence to HSE standards.

Documentation and Reporting

* Maintain accurate records of mobilisation processes, including inspection checklists, permits, and safety documents.

Stakeholder Management

* Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to align mobilisation plans.

Key Tasks

* Create mobilisation schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, and budget estimations.
* Coordinate with project managers, marine superintendents, and engineering teams to define mobilisation scopes.

Vessel Readiness and Preparation

* Oversee equipment loading, configuration, and pre-deployment testing.
* Monitor compliance with safety regulations, marine standards, and client requirements.

Execution and Coordination

* Facilitate the integration of third-party equipment and personnel.
* Act as the primary point of contact between vessel crew, project teams, and shore-based support.

Safety and Compliance

* Conduct safety briefings and hazard identification before mobilisation activities.
* Manage incident reporting and corrective actions during mobilisation and demobilisation.

Documentation and Reporting

* Produce comprehensive mobilisation reports, including lessons learned and performance evaluations.
* Track mobilisation costs and manage budget adherence.

Stakeholder Management

* Communicate progress and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Resolve any issues that arise during the mobilisation phase.

Key Measurables

* Planned vs. Actual Mobilisation Time -Measure how closely the actual mobilisation duration aligns with the planned schedule.

On-Time Project Readiness

* Percentage of projects where the vessel is mobilised and ready by the agreed deadline.

Budget and Cost Management

* Budget Adherence - Compare actual mobilisation costs to the approved budget.

Cost Savings Achieved

* Track any savings generated through efficient planning or resource management.

Safety and Compliance

* Incident Rate During Mobilisation - Number of safety incidents per mobilisation.
* Compliance Rate - Adherence to HSE regulations, certification requirements, and client standards.

Stakeholder Satisfaction

* Client Feedback Score - Measure client satisfaction with mobilisation processes and outcomes.
* Internal Collaboration Effectiveness - Feedback from internal teams on the clarity and coordination during mobilisation.

Operational Performance

* Mobilisation Success Rate - Percentage of mobilisations completed without major disruptions or delays.
* Equipment Readiness - Percentage of mobilisation processes where no critical equipment failures occurred.

* Familiarity with offshore logistics, subsea operations, and vessel chartering.
* Experience in managing multi-vessel mobilisation for large-scale projects.

Demonstrable Experience Specific to Role

* Previous experience in asset mobilisations, project coordination or marine operations.
* Proven experience managing mobilisation for renewable, offshore, oil and gas or marine construction projects.
