We are currently seeking a SEND Education Support Assistant to work in specialist schools across Morpeth and the wider Northumberland area. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils overcome barriers to learning. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
2. A caring, adaptable approach with strong communication skills
3. A genuine passion for inclusion and helping every child succeed
4. The ability to encourage positive behaviour and positive social interaction
5. A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
