Quality Inspector – Manufacturing
Location: Golborne – Shift Basis, 12 hours rotating shifts, including days & nights.
Starting from £27,500 – £29,700 (DOE) plus excellent benefits and career progression opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Attend shift handover meetings, communicating the current situation and status of open non-conformance (fault notes & isolations) that you were involved in during the shift.
* Conduct CCP verification checks.
* Supply and verify the correct defect test pieces to production lines and ensure they are collected back at the end of a production run.
* Confirm that appropriate specifications and documentation are in place and being completed correctly.
* Accurately record data in the electronic quality databases system (CAQ); whenever failings are identified, raise them to management for investigation before the end of the shift.
* Conduct laboratory‑based analytical testing as required to support material or colour changes during evenings.
* Carry out duties requested by management in accordance with good health and safety and food safety practices.
* Ensure laboratory and quality station housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
Qualifications
* Previous role within a quality, compliance or testing position in a manufacturing environment – ideally with experience of laboratory‑based analytical testing.
* Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
* Organised and able to communicate results effectively.
* Awareness and knowledge of food safety policies.
