About Ormston School
Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Our mission is to create a learning space where young people can thrive, feel secure, and leave school equipped with the experiences and outcomes they need to contribute positively to their communities.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Plan, prepare, and present well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of your pupils.
* Adapt teaching methods to respond to the strengths and needs of each student.
* Set high standards that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
* Participate in preparing learners for external tests.
* Teach across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum and adapt learning for students with SEND.
What We’re Looking For
To join our team, you should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subject areas is preferred.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* A good understanding of child development and learning processes.
* The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to meet their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Strong ICT skills to support learning.
