The team ensures every guest has a magical experience, encouraging repeat visits.
Woodlands Park Hotel is a stunning country house hotel set in landscaped grounds and gardens, one of Surrey’s most spectacular countryside wedding venues. It is an AA awarded 4 Star Hotel with 57 bedrooms, a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant, conference and event function rooms and a bar. We are currently recruiting for a Head Chef at Woodlands Park, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for ensuring that the Kitchen Brigade consistently delivers exceptional food & service, putting the guest at the heart of all activities.
* Lead the team in the effective delivery of department goals, plan and organise work activities, continuously improve ways of working, and engage the team to do the same.
* Innovate and develop menus with your own distinctive style, inspiring your team and guests alike.
* Maintain a safe, healthy and secure workplace environment, follow all work protocols and engage the team with training initiatives.
* Build effective relationships to create a positive learning environment to support the department’s success.
* Make clear, confident decisions, consult with others where needed, lead menu development, and have a good understanding of business financials including labour costs, forecasting and budgets.
* Be inspired, have fun and contribute to the Hand Picked Team.
About You / Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar luxury, fine dining, multi-outlet hotel is essential.
* Proven experience of managing, coaching and developing teams, and the ability to motivate others to achieve goals and potential.
* Delivering outstanding food & service will be your passion and motivation.
* Excellent at building rapport with colleagues and guests.
* Professional, organised and friendly approach.
* Vast knowledge of food and awareness of current culinary trends.
* Emotional intelligence and commitment to self-improvement in the role.
