The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing retail business based in Leicester, is seeking an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside the Finance Director and contribute to board-level reporting whilst taking ownership of critical financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence:
* Lead the annual audit process, acting as primary liaison with external auditors
* Prepare comprehensive statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS
* Drive technical reporting initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Produce accurate and timely financial accounts for management and stakeholder reporting
Strategic Involvement:
* Present financial insights and analysis directly to board members
* Support the Finance Director in strategic decision-making processes
* Contribute to business planning and forecasting activities
* Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes
What You'll Bring
* Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
* Experience: Strong background in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit management
