Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
* Accurately label and package medications for patients.
* Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
* Provide information to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage.
* Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Support medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
Qualifications/Experience
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain mandatory
* Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience
* Knowledge of medication administration practices is advantageous.
* Experience in patient care or customer service roles is beneficial.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
