Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Compliance Manager to ensure our chocolate production and packaging processes meet all regulatory, food safety, and internal compliance standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining BRCGS standards while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, environmental, and worker safety standards.
* Write up Recipes and Specifications for chocolate production
* Conduct regular audits and inspections across production and packaging lines.
* Support and maintain food safety and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP).
* Maintain compliance-related documentation, records, SOPs, and reports.
* Assist in internal and external audits by certification bodies or regulatory authorities.
* Report non-compliances and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Provide training to staff on compliance protocols, hygiene practices, and safety procedures.
* Collaborate with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and HR departments to uphold compliance culture.
* Stay up to date with changes in food safety legislation and standards.
Skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, BRCGS)
* Good spelling, numeracy skills and experience of working with Word and Excel.
* A hands-on approach will be essential with a willingness to take on new responsibilities/training opportunities.
* Familiarity with packaging regulations and labelling compliance is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Qualifications in food safety is required
