Location: Chipping Sodbury Salary: Competitive Department: HS2 Technical Team We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Technicianto join our HS2 team. This role is vital in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of materials used across our operations. Key Responsibilities Conduct field sampling and testing in line with inspection and test plans Inspect plant, equipment, stockpiles, and materials to identify and report issues Investigate material defects and non-conformities, supporting resolution and continuous improvement Provide technical support to production sites, depots, operational teams, and external customers Carry out site inspections and reviews to enhance working practices Ensure materials meet all relevant specifications and HS2 requirements Monitor third-party testing and maintain accurate records and reports Deliver technical training and toolbox talks to internal stakeholders Prepare and share data insights with internal and external teams Act as a substitute for the Technical Advisor when required Support additional duties as directed by the HS2 team What We're Looking For Experience in materials testing, quality assurance, or technical support Strong understanding of health & safety, environmental, and product quality standards Ability to interpret technical specifications and data Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A collaborative approach and willingness to support cross-functional teams Why Join Us?
