As Conference & Events Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of conferences, weddings, and special events hosted at the hotel. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets or exceeds the expectations of clients and guests. The manager will work closely with the hotel's sales and catering teams, as well as various vendors and suppliers, to create memorable and successful events.
What will I do?
11. Understand client event requirements
12. Work with the sales team to develop detailed event plans, including timelines, layouts and vendor contracts
13. Co-ordinate the event from set up, breakdown, ensuring everything runs smoothly
14. Provide a friendly, courteous and discreet service
15. Supervision of the events, providing direction to the team
16. Ensure staffing levels to accommodate requirements
17. Deal with any issues and complaints which may arise
18. Carry out post event debriefings with clients
19. Ensure hygiene & cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
20. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure menus meet quality and company presentation standards
21. Support other F&B areas as and when required, including Restaurant & Bar
Is this the role for me?
22. Previous experience in an F&B management role
23. Have experience managing busy conference & events, banqueting and weddings
24. You'll be an operational, hands on manager and lead by example
25. Relevant qualifications in either food service management, hospitality management
26. Up to date knowledge of F&B trends and best practice
27. Standards driven and know what 'good looks like'
