Reporting to the HR Business Partner the primary function of the HR Advisor role is to provide an effective robust Employee Relations Advisory service. As an experienced HR professional you will operate as part of the Health Assessment Services (HAS) team working alongside the wider HR teams and in close collaboration with management teams across HAS.
The role will be embedded within the HAS business and supported by the central HR team and will include occasional travel to the HAS sites in Yorkshire and Northeast of England.
Working part time up to 25 hours a week (minimum 15 hours) for example 3 or 4 days a week (including a Friday) or shorter hours across Monday to Friday.
The role can be based working out of our York or Bradford offices (free parking)
Here's some of the key HR Advisor responsibilities:
* Assisting the business with managing performance and conduct matters including the use of capability and disciplinary procedures, managing probations, conducting investigations, preparing documentation and where relevant attending meetings
* Advising employees and managers in resolving conflict issues and dealing with grievances– conducting investigations, preparing documentation and attending grievance hearings and where relevant, facilitate mediation between employees to manage conflict and relationship issues.
* Support with the onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews with leavers and making recommendations to the business to improve retention
* Provide the business with advice on HR policy and procedures
* Assist with identification and implementation of structural change including advice on consultations and relocations of employees.
* Working with L&D to identify development needs across the business and work to implement and deliver practical solutions and training.
* Client reporting on all people MI requests in line with contractual KPIs
* HR Project work as required
