An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join the Specialist Rehabilitation Service at Woodend Hospital. Our service provides specialist care and rehabilitation for individuals recovering from lifealtering conditions or injuries. The inpatient units include stroke, neurological, and orthopaedic rehabilitation, as well as vascular amputee and some elderly rehabilitation beds.
We are seeking candidates educated to Masters level in Advanced Practice and assessed as competent at this level. This advanced role is characterised by a high degree of autonomous decisionmaking, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing for patients with complex, multidimensional needs.
Candidates who do not fully meet the essential criteria may be considered for appointment as a trainee ANP, provided they demonstrate the ability to complete the postgraduate diploma. Trainees would be expected to achieve the full qualification to remain in post.
The successful applicants will join a friendly, forwardthinking team of ANPs and NPs who provide 24/7 cover for the rehabilitation wards at Woodend. The role includes day, night, and weekend working.
