Job Title: Electrical Estimator About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a leading specialist in mechanical and electrical services. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for electrical projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed and competitive electrical cost estimates from tender documents, specifications, and drawings. * Analyse and evaluate tender documentation to identify scope, risks, and opportunities. * Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain pricing and technical information. * Develop accurate material take-offs and labor cost assessments. * Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment of estimating and project delivery. * Maintain and update a database of historical costs and supplier rates to support future estimating activities. * Attend tender review meetings and provide technical and commercial support as needed. * Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and company policies in all estimating activities. Skills & Experience: * Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E sector. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents. * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Amtech or similar packages is a plus. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders concurrently. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: * Relevant electrical or construction qualification preferred. * CSCS card or equivalent health and safety certification desirable. * Full UK driving licence preferable.
