About this role
Summary
Strategic media advisor to the agency’s most significant clients, with responsibility for building the capabilities, expertise and relationships it holds with the media. Drives excellence in multi-channel corporate and consumer news generation, training and developing colleagues and contributing to brand-defining client work.
Core competencies
* Builds external profile for news capabilities through effective marketing and communications
* Builds personal network of journalists, editors, news desks and media platforms to support new business and news generation
Client
* Acts as lead news and media counsellor across a number of strategic client relationships, acting as a go-to partner to senior clients
* Directly oversees multi-channel media engagement programmes, ensuring strategic value and excellence in execution
* Ensures quality of strategic media counsel across the agency, working alongside account leads and senior team members to provide insights, advice and guidance
* Leverages network of media contacts to help clients engage and inform key titles
People
* Directly drives performance and maximises potential of agency team to deliver high impact, multi-channel news-generating campaigns and moments
* Develops and delivers ongoing training programme, leveraging network to bring in journalists from an array of outlets to share insights and ideas
Commercial
* Identifies and creates opportunities for revenue growth across agency client portfolio through strategic, high impact media relations work
* Contributes to strategic new business opportunities with target brands and drives organic growth opportunities across existing client relationships
