Job Description:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) offering £14 per hour plus £50 per sleep-in payment. The role involves supporting the effective delivery of education, care, and independence programs for children and young people by supervising support staff and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and quality standards.
* Responsibilities include:
* Supervising the implementation of individual programs to enhance learning and development
* Managing the well-being and behavior of children and young people, including handling sensitive pastoral situations
* Supporting colleagues to maintain professional relationships with students, parents, and external agencies
* Acting as a positive role model and contributing to team development
* Ensuring all actions comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
* Adapting proven techniques within the registered home setting
* Ensuring value for money for service users
Qualifications & Skills:
* QCF Level 3 Diploma in relevant care/children & young people related area or higher qualification
* Experience supporting the educational and social development of children or young people with special needs
* Leadership experience, influencing others without direct management responsibilities
* Ability to support and develop staff and contribute to organizational development
* Responsibility for safeguarding, confidentiality, and accurate record-keeping
* Excellent communication, observational, and listening skills
Additional Information:
* Responsibility for equipment care, budget adherence, and medication administration where applicable
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and mandatory training requirements
