Are you a qualified nurse with a talent for education, development and clinical excellence? We&39;re looking for a Practice Development Nurse to play a key role in strengthening specialist epilepsy knowledge, developing our workforce, and promoting William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre. Your new opportunity As Practice Development Nurse, you will lead on education, training and practice development across the Scottish Epilepsy Centre (WQSEC). You’ll enhance the specialist knowledge of staff within WQSEC and promote epilepsy expertise to the wider health and social care community. You’ll support all training, CPD and qualification needs of staff and grow our established Epilepsy Awareness and Train the Trainer programmes, helping to extend their reach and impact across external organisations. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with senior nurses, managers, the Learning & Talent Development team, and external partners. This is a full time permanent post working 35 hours per week Monday - Friday. What you&39;ll bring Essential Qualifications & Experience Registered Nurse (RNMH/LD, RGN or RMN) with active NMC registration Educated to degree level with evidence of post‑registration learning Experience working with people with epilepsy, neurological conditions, learning disabilities or distressed behaviour Experience of multi‑disciplinary working Experience in healthcare research and audit Proven experience in developing and delivering healthcare education and training Specialist Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of NMC requirements and regulatory care standards In‑depth understanding of the nursing process and governance systems Knowledge of adult learning (andragogical) principles Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable approach Ability to manage complexity, problem‑solve and work creatively Driving licence is essential
