What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Vacuum Systems Strategy Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance, general repairs, and the rectification of faults at our sewerage vacuum systems. They will also report on failing assets, diagnose more complicated faults and optimise asset performance across Ipswich, Colchester, Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding areas.
Key duties:
- Carry out planned and reactive work
- Reporting back on asset condition
- Investigate and repair mechanical faults
- Ensure availability of plant and equipment
- Safe operation and maintenance of assets in line with health and safety policies
- Investigate customer complaints and provide excellent customer service and ownership to resolve their issues.
- Investigate problems associated with the sewerage vacuum systems and processes and promote appropriate remedial action
