Engineer Surveyor - Lift & Crane - Central London at Allianz UK.
Role Description
Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. Our Engineer Surveyors visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations. You would automatically be enrolled onto our unrivalled induction training programme.
This role is for an experienced engineer with knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the world\'s largest insurers and financial services companies.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate client needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Work closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare examination reports after inspections using electronic reporting for fast delivery to clients.
* Carry out hands-on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
* Operate in hands-on environments that may involve working at height, in confined spaces, and under hot or cold conditions, with exposure to noise and dust.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical-related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Strong time management; ability to self-organise weekly work.
* Proficiency with tablets and smartphones as essential tools.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
About You
* Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules related to Lift and Crane discipline.
* Ability to make informed decisions and take responsibility.
* Effective planning for short, medium, and long-term goals; ability to schedule meetings, visits, and work allocation.
* Willingness to travel within your local area.
* Strong customer interaction skills, with good oral and written communication.
* Hands-on experience with lifts, cranes, and materials handling equipment; background in manufacturing/repair/maintenance.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Circa £51,405 per year (Including London Allowance). Salary is part of a total reward package.
