1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Warrington (WA5)

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Warrington (WA5) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after October half-term. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Role Overview:
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning and care needs are met.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning activities.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through consistent support and praise.
* Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and individual education plans (IEPs).
* Promote inclusion and ensure the pupil can fully access the school curriculum and wider activities.
* Build a trusting relationship that supports the pupil’s wellbeing and development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, or communication needs (desirable).
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience).
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
