Job Description:
Building Services Account Manager
M&E / Facilities Management Account
Central London - Single Contract
Bonus
Pension Scheme
Our client is a well-established and growing property and real estate organisation, managing high-profile commercial M&E and Facilities Management accounts across the UK and globally. Due to an internal restructure, they seek an experienced and dynamic Account Manager/Director for a prestigious commercial client based in Central London. The role involves delivering a 5-star service, managing M&E maintenance, energy & sustainability, and soft services in a high-profile building. The team comprises around 25 staff, including supervisory, engineering, and support personnel, liaising directly with the on-site client. The salary range is approximately £75,000 - £85,000, complemented by a bonus scheme, pension, and opportunities for training and career development within the market-leading facilities management sector.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience managing M&E or Total Facilities Management in a commercial setting, whether for a dedicated service provider, managing agent, or similar. Technical expertise is not mandatory, as a strong engineering team supports the role, but experience in managing Landlord Services or M&E/Total FM clients is essential. Additional training such as ILM Level 3-5, IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, or MIBFM is desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a team of approximately 25 staff
* Overseeing a P&L of around £2.5 million
* Delivering planned and reactive M&E maintenance
* Engaging with multiple stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance through auditing
* Implementing energy and sustainability initiatives
* Reducing WIP
* Identifying opportunities for project works
* Succession planning
This organisation is a market leader across sectors such as corporate, banking, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and data centres. Opportunities for progression include moving into area/regional management or exploring different accounts through internal transfers. The role is suitable for an ambitious and determined Account Manager/Director eager to advance their career with a top-tier company.
