Job Description : Team Leader Support Worker Pay : £14.50 Standard Rate Refer a Friend Scheme - £250 awarded (T&C's apply) We are currently recruiting a Team Leader Support Worker join our team supporting adults with needs in the Macclesfield area. Please note we are not a recruitment agency. The Role The ideal candidate will be confident working from their own initiative and able to adapt to changing needs. You will play a vital role in supporting clients with complex mental health needs, promoting independence, and facilitating meaningful community engagement. Consistency and reliability are essential. The service in Macclesfield is a supported living service for 3 individuals, each with their own self-contained apartment and core team. Primary diagnosis of Mental health need, the individuals we support may also have: Learning disabilities Personality Disorder including EUPD Self-harm and Suicidal ideation Role Description - Duties Hands-on care, supporting the client with their daily routines, encouraging independence in all areas this will be achieved via the management of the rota. You would be expected to cover shifts as a contingency Working every other weekend. Supervise the care team, manage rotas and co-ordinate training based on learning needs Conduct in-house Induction Training with new starters Ensure outcomes of appointments are shared with the team and implemented in daily care routines Write and update Risk Assessments in collaboration with Service Manager. Ensure Risk Assessments are in place for all equipment used by Care Team in collaboration with Service manager. Complete/collate timesheets and communicate with Service Manager and Payroll team. Organise equipment reviews and book maintenance and servicing for all devises, this would include reconciling the client’s finances (money tin) and weekly fire checks as per Policy. Experience and Skills Required Hands-on experience of supporting individuals with Mental Health. Experience as a Support Worker / Team Leader in a Supported Living Setting or Residential Home Working in a family/private home Excellent communication and teaching skills Strong administrative and organisation skills Computer literate and accurate record keeping Understanding and experience of PBS Practice Able to Lead by example Time management Able to stay calm in challenging situations Essential Requirements: Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or similar leadership role Strong experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs (essential) Highly driven, able to work independently, and confident in decision making Must be active and energetic, as the client enjoys being out in the community Experience with auditing processes to a reasonable level Excellent communication skills and a strong person-centred focus Willingness and ability to travel to Middlesbrough several times a week during transition About the Client: The client enjoys: Socialising and spending time with others Going out for meals Listening to music Staying active and engaging in community activities Support these interests while promoting independence, stability, and positive routines What’s great about being a Care Team Leader The mixed role of providing hands-on care and coordinating a care team is both challenging and rewarding. As a Care Team Leader, you will build and maintain strong relationships with the client, their family, the care team, and wider multidisciplinary teams. You will have the opportunity to positively influence the whole team to provide the best outcomes for the client. Home not hospital will provide you with a plan to progress within the company and or to upskill you to progress within the care field. We will offer a permanent contract, good rate of pay and further training and development as per your PDA suggests.
