A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in East Sussex. The company is a global centre of excellence specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers, instrumentation, and drives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the NPI Development team and liaise with design staff to ensure overall quality and delivery of new parts to the highest standards.
- Ensure proposed design concepts can be manufactured cost‑effectively.
- Oversee prototype builds of products, prepare relevant documentation, and actively participate in PFMEAs and DFMEs.
- Collaborate with Operations personnel to optimise and layout assembly areas, and define assembly tooling for the NPI build.
- Provide guidance and leadership to manufacturing or production teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
- Background in New Product Introduction (NPI) or New Product Development (NPD) within electronics assembly, PCB/cable assembly, or electronics box build.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
- Engineering degree or equivalent, with provable experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of various electronic printed circuit assembly techniques.
