We are seeking a stress engineer to work for our client, Airbus in Filton, Bristol. He / she will support the Wing FEM and digital analysis (1AWIA) team's functions. Ensure appropriate solutions and validation of FEM data is provided throughout the modification and certification process for all Airbus commercial aircraft programme commitments.
Day to day support will involve delivering wing issues relating to FEM analysis. This will include, but will not be limited to, studies, investigations, risk assessments, analyses and modifications to support in-service occurrences, repairs, plant and FAL issues, design modifications and developmental designs and studies. The job holder would provide a rational approach and delivery commitment to meet the requests for work (RFW) based on Engineering prioritisation and direction on requirements, whilst maintaining the integrity of the design intent and the solution. The role covers all aspects of FEM and digital analysis (GFEM, DFEM, Test for Static, F&DT, covered by 1AW1A (ATA 57) across SA and WB family Airbus programmes.

Key Deliverables
Timely release of internal loads data and supporting documentation for wing component stress analysis (both static and fatigue)
Approval of linear FEM reports
In-service (Repairs, Occurrences) to keep the existing fleet flying
Knowledge capture and lessons learnt
If you have Airbus FEM approval status then you will be most welcome to apply, Wing experience is preferred, strong FEM experience needed if you do not have Wing exp.
